Get Fit at Home with the HyGYM Ultimate Spin Bike

HyGYM Home SPIN BKE

Spin bikes have risen in popularity during the pandemic – and for bl**dy good reason. They’re a great way to reap the benefits of cardio exercise in the comfort of your home gym.

New to spinning? No drama, we’re here to tell you everything you need to know about our HyGYM Spin Bike and why you should add one to your home gym armoury.

Why Use a Spin Bike?

For those that haven’t a clue about a spin bike or ‘spinning’, it’s essentially indoor cycling and performed on a stationary bike with a weighted wheel.

Yep, that’s right, no need to leave the sanctuary of your home gym. A spin bike is a great way to build your strength, endurance and fitness – it covers everything.

Let’s have a look at some of the benefits in a little more detail. You know the drill, grab a protein bar and get your visual eyeholes on this…

Up Your Cardio Game

Summer is on the horizon; you’ve spent the winter smashing those compounds, now it’s time to show the hard work off with some cardio. Enter the spin bike.

Will the HyGYM Spin Bike Help Me Lose Weight?

Spinning is a great way to get your cardio in quickly and efficiently. Just 30 minutes on a spin bike can burn anywhere between 200-300 calories. The answer? Yes, a spin bike workout can help you lose weight.

Winner winner chicken dinner.

Get Lean or Spin Tryin’

The HyGYM Spin bike is fantastic for building lean muscle in your legs and core.

Let’s face it; not everybody can squat, whether it’s due to injury or simply because squatting isn’t them. However, just because you ‘can’t squat won’t squat’, this doesn’t mean you should have the legs of Johnny Bravo either.

The spin bike is one of the most effective ‘all-in-one’ leg workouts around. It works your quads, hamstrings, gastrocnemius muscles, and soleus muscles. It’s the smart alternative for those crying into their protein shakes because it’s leg day.

And then there’s your core too. So, you can work on getting that summer body while ticking that all-important cardio box too.

Low Risk of Injury

Despite being an intense workout, spinning is a very low-impact exercise.

This also makes it an excellent exercise for older people too whose joints are stiffer and more liable to damage or injury.

Don’t get us wrong here; you’ll still get that ‘can’t sit on the loo because my hamstrings are on fire dilemma’ or DOMS as it’s called in the scientific community – but you’re unlikely to cause yourself any serious harm.

Moreover, because you aren’t outdoors, and the spin bike is fixed in place, you can work out in the comfort that you’re not going to crash into and ruin your neighbours’ award-winning Marigolds.

Spin Bike vs Exercise Bike

The difference between a spin bike and an exercise bike is that the spin bike looks a bit more like a road bike and allows for greater variation in terms of exercises compared to a typical exercise bike. The traditional exercise bike is more suited for standard cardio exercises.

For example, while on a traditional exercise, it’s important to maintain a rigid posture (think sitting on a chair). However, on a spin bike, you have to take different positions and actions, such as standing, swaying or moving along to spin class via YouTube, for example. This variety is what makes a spin bike a great addition to your home gym; variety is the spice of life, as they say.

The spin bike is a must-have if you’re looking to add high-intensity training to your home workout regime. They’re perfect for sculpting the buttocks, legs and reducing fat fast.
